The Yucca Goddess
The Yucca Goddess breathes
life-giving goodness into the air
Life-Giving
The trees around me don't philosophize;
They photosynthesize.
Never spouting meanness or lies,
They soothe my spirit
with their majestic spirits and size.
As I walk through a canopy
of towering pines, oaks, and madrones,
I listen intently for their healing tones.
Your gentle whispers and rustling leaves, sweet trees,
calm my spirit~I let everything be.
With almost imperceptible rhythmic swaying,
you gently hum 'breath out~breath in'
and magically clear the air of carbon dioxide
to provide us fresh air to breath again.
Without fuss,
the trees bestow on us
their magical photosynthesis.
Breathe out~Breathe in~
then quietly start it all over again.
Thank you Tree Goddesses for graciously sharing
Life-giving goodness into our air.
How kind you are to provide us this gift--
to 'breath in' carbon dioxide and
'breath out' oxygen.
I feel your branches wrap me in loving care,
as you blow kisses in the wind through my hair.
Nature Anoint Me
Come anoint me, sweet nature
with calmness and ease.
Let me stroll through your sheltering
of bark, limbs and leaves;
Help me put anxiety, worry and fear away for awhile.
Let me breathe deeply your sweet purified air,
leaving me rested and without a care.
In the Company of Nature
Breathe deeply~breathe in hope
We couldn't exist without trees
purifying the air around us.
"A study from South Korea's Forest Research Institute indicated that each 25-year-old cherry tree can absorb about 20 pounds of emissions each, according to a Tuesday report from UPI. The country's cherry trees are said to be capable of absorbing about 2.4 tons of carbon, roughly equivalent to the emissions of 6,000 cars per year. The emissions of a single car can be absorbed by 250 mature trees."

Sue, I love seeing the photo you start your creations with. I'm always amazed. I'm into trees and fresh air, so this post was a breath of fresh air to end my day and start my evening.
