Finding Happiness and Contentment

Today well lived
makes every yesterday a dream of happiness,
every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.

To be able to curse once a day
improves happiness and lengthens life.

Chinese Proverb

There is no winter without snow,
no spring without sunshine,
and no happiness without companions.

Korean Proverb

Into the house where joy lives,
happiness will gladly come.

Japanese Proverb

Silence is the interpreter of happiness.

Arabian Proverb

Happiness held is the seed;
happiness shared is the flower.

Unknown

There is no other happiness but peace.

Thai Proverb

Dedicated to the Jefferson Baroque Orchestra and Chorus

This pen and ink was created as I sat in a church pew next to the light of the stained glass windows listening to the music of the Jefferson Baroque Orchestra and Chorus on a rainy afternoon. I dedicate this post to the musicians who brightened my day--and especially to Sue Flynn, the Cellist who dropped her bow and said OOPS!
