Feeling Low? Five Positive Thoughts to Pick You Up

"A man is what he thinks about all day." Ralph Waldo Emerson

If your thinking has you in the doldrums, think about something else.
Mindfully choose positive thoughts to ponder.

Consciously and deliberately turn your attention
to positive thoughts that make you feel vibrantly alive.

"Cultivate a vibrantly alive peace." Eckhart Tolle

Bogged down by the unkindness and evil doing in the world?
Be the change you want to see in others.
Begin with your own thoughts and actions.

Consciously and deliberately focus on cultivating a vibrantly alive peace within you.
Begin each day by imagining what it feels like to be vibrantly alive inside.
Sit with that thought a while. A sense of peace naturally follows.

We're all better able to meet the challenges of the world
when we're calm, energized and centered.

"First say to yourself what you would be, then do what you have to do." Epictetus

If you're feeling low because you're not where you want to be in life,
turn that gloomy thought pulling you down into a positive vision of 'who you would be'.

Consciously and deliberately ponder 'what would make me feel vibrantly alive?',
and then do what you have to do to step into that vibrantly alive life.

If you're not sure what you want, guess--and then actively test your guess by
acting 'as if' it's what you want and take a step in that direction. You'll discover the truth
of what makes you feel vibrantly alive by stepping into life and testing the waters.

A journey of a thousand miles towards living the life you desire begins with a single step. Vow to take a step each day that makes you feel energized and hopeful.

"Energy and persistence conquer all things." Ben Franklin

Sure, life can be hard. But when you engage in life with energy and persistence
you feel vibrantly alive as you conquer those seemingly daunting hurdles
on your way to a fulfilling life.

On a day you're feeling low, consciously and deliberately rest and refresh your energy.
Put your worries down and do something that engages your attention positively.

When refreshed, get back out there with renewed energy and persistence
to conquer the things that make you feel vibrantly alive.

"May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears." Nelson Mandela

To feel vibrantly alive, let your life be lead by hope, not fear.
Consciously and deliberately determine what gives you hope
and keep moving towards it.

When you find yourself in a moment of fear, take active steps to undo the paralysis
that sets in. Take a step--any step--to get yourself unfrozen.

When you experience yourself actively overcoming the inertia created by fear,
you'll gain a sense of strength, hope and determination
putting you back on a positive and vibrant track.

"Fall down 7 times, get up 8 times." Japanese Proverb

To be vibrantly alive, align how you desire to live and how you're living in the moment. Choose to act consciously and deliberately to maintain your strength, hope and persistence. And when you're feeling low, no matter what--
if you fall down 7 times, get up 8 times.

A Fun Fact

Many of you ask where the images come from for the art. This photo of bark, moss and such was taken by Lee Bryant. It is the background for the first five images in this post. Each of the images is a 'tile' from the original art that is enlarged and messed with some more.

Go ahead have some fun...see if you can find the art images of people and beings in the photo.
