"What did you do today?" my son asked of me.
"Nothing much. Just the usual....Just the way I like it."
While it's fun to have a circus come to town
every once in a while, my preference is
to wake to enjoy the attributes of an ordinary day.
Today Mother Earth says
"Look at this extraordinarily ordinary day!
Breathe in and enjoy the wonder of an ordinary day."
"It's just the way I like it!
It makes me feel good.
I fit in quite nicely
and feel I can shine."
"So what do you say, let's go out and play
on this most extraordinarily ordinary day."
"Let's laugh and tell secrets
that make us feel gay,
knowing what awesome creatures
we are on this extraordinarily ordinary day."
"Let's enjoy this extraordinarily ordinary day
that feels so right and makes us happy
every moment today."
