Your Shattered Pieces
L.R. Knost
"Your shattered pieces are not your final form, Love.
You don't have to live broken,
Forever trapped in the moment of impact,
Reliving it again and again,
Cutting yourself on your own jagged edges."
"Gather your pieces~
even the most painful ones.
They are the beginning of your story,
Not the end.
Then go.
Take your pieces and just start.
You're on a journey of discovery,
A search not to find yourself,
But to create yourself
from the pieces of your broken past.
Go, love.
It's time.
Make something beautiful."

Make Something Beautiful
My journey of discovery to make something beautiful from the pieces of the past
often comes from exploring the pictures of people, animals and things artistically.
Beauty in life is found everywhere~even in the most painful pieces.
The background for this piece of art was a photo
taken by Lee Bryant of a purple radish shown above.
Somehow it was the perfect piece to help me think about
and share Knost's tender poem, 'Your Shattered Pieces'.
As L.R. Knost says,
"Go Love.
Gather your pieces~
even the most painful ones.
They are the beginning of your story,
Not the end.
Make something beautiful."

Sue, I have a dear friend who would have appreciated this on so many levels (as well as the beautiful shades of her favorite color), but she now has dementia and at far too young an age.
So sorry about your friend, Jean. There are many things to cut a full and joyful life short. I imagine if she would have enjoyed the colors here, she was an enjoyer of life.
