At the Heart of the Dogwood Tree

 

No Bark Zone

At the heart of the dogwood tree

it's very peaceful 

although you'll find lots of dogs

and a few cats, you see.

The heart always says

let's see if we can get along

cause despite our differences

we all belong.

Peace be with you. 

And also with you. 

Use Your Words to Disagree

Let your bark be bigger than your bite;

Get your hackles down and stop the physical fights.

Use your words. 

Talk things out.

Protest peacefully

to say what you want to come about.

Choose to live out of your heart

and live with others compassionately. 

Be like the dogs and cats

at the heart of the dogwood tree.

My greatest desire 

is to be like the dogs and cats 

at the heart of the dogwood tree

where dogs and cats can

play peacefully.
